Both SGDC 1 and Koreasat 7 are geostationary telecommunications satellites. SGDC 1 is a 5800 kg satellite for Brazil, equipped with 50 Ka-band and 7 X-band transponders, and intended for both civil and military use. Koreasat 7 is to provide internet access, multimedia, broadcasting and fixed communications services to South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia and India. Satellite weighs around 3500 kg, and its operational lifetime is 15 years.
