History

Launch Complex 43 at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert is China’s primary crewed launch facility, supporting Shenzhou missions and the construction of the Tiangong space station. It also launches Long March 2F rockets for cargo missions. The site has been operational for crewed flights since the Shenzhou 5 mission in 2003.
