DAMPE was a Long March 2D mission operated by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation that lifted off from Launch Area 94 (SLS-2 / 603), Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, People's Republic of China on December 17, 2015. The flight carried its payload on a astrophysics mission to Sun-Synchronous Orbit. The launch was a success.
