JUICE is a orbiter mission by ESA targeting Ganymede. Launched April 14, 2023. Currently 1.5751 AU from the Sun.

JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) is an ESA mission to study Jupiter’s three largest icy moons: Ganymede, Callisto, and Europa. It will become the first spacecraft to orbit a moon other than Earth’s when it enters orbit around Ganymede in 2034. The mission aims to characterize the habitability of the ocean worlds.

  • First spacecraft to orbit a moon of another planet (Ganymede)
  • Largest solar panels for a deep space mission
  • Uses Earth-Venus-Earth-Earth gravity assists
