GOES (Weather)

The Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite system is the United States’ primary weather satellite constellation, operated by NOAA. GOES satellites in geostationary orbit provide continuous monitoring of weather, severe storms, and space weather over the Western Hemisphere. The latest GOES-R series features the Advanced Baseline Imager with 16 spectral channels.
