TDRS

The Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System is a constellation of NASA communications satellites in geostationary orbit that provides near-continuous communication with the ISS, Hubble, and other low-orbit spacecraft. TDRS eliminates the need for a global network of ground stations by relaying signals between spacecraft and a single ground terminal in White Sands, New Mexico.
